Steps to Use a Rotahaler with Rotacapsules

1. Your Rotacap will have a transparent side and a colored side. Insert the capsule into the Rotahaler with the transparent side facing down.
2. Close the Rotahaler firmly.
3. Twist or rotate the device to pierce the capsule, releasing the medicine powder into the chamber.
4. Before inhaling, breathe out gently to empty your lungs.
5. Place the Rotahaler mouthpiece into your mouth, sealing your lips tightly.
6. Take a fast, deep breath in to inhale the medication.
7. Remove the Rotahaler from your mouth and hold your breath for at least 10 seconds, preferably up to 15-20 seconds.
8. Exhale slowly through your nose.
9. Drink and gargle water after inhalation to clear any leftover medication from the mouth and throat.
10. If a second dose is prescribed, discard the used capsule, insert a new one, and repeat the steps.
