Bell's Palsy  was  named  aftera Scottish Anatomist and it  affecets the 7th cranial nerve. The reasonw hythishapens to the facil nerve is not known. Many tiems it can be because of cold or multifactorial. The facial nerve or 7th cranial nerve supoplies alll msucles of   the face. Suddenly they get paralysed. The patiewtn has  a masked face, cannot swallow, is paralysed, none of the facial expression is possible, cannot swallow, drooling of  saliva, patient  cannot open mouth, chew.
