Vertigo refers to a sensation of spinning or motion. It can be caused by problems related to the inner ear, brain (neurological), or even heart and blood pressure (cardiovascular issues).
- If the vertigo is sudden and severe, or accompanied by other symptoms such as a severe headache, vision disturbances, loss of consciousness, slurred speech etc, visit the emergency room of the closest hospital immediately.
- If your symptoms are mild or episodic, or have been happening for a while, it’s best to start with an evaluation by an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist.
