Hello everyone, I’m Dr. Dibon Bora, Pediatrician and Allergy–Asthma Specialist.
Did you know that many allergies start on the skin?
Atopic Dermatitis, or eczema, often begins in newborns due to dry skin and a weak skin barrier—sometimes linked to genetics.
This can be the first step in the Allergy Journey, also called the Atopic March—progressing from skin allergy to food allergy, allergic rhinitis, and even asthma later in life.
Watch out for signs like:
Dry, itchy skin
Night-time itching
Red patches
The good news? Early use of moisturizers and emollients can protect your child’s skin and may stop this allergy chain before it starts.
Remember: Healthy Skin Today = Healthier Future Tomorrow.
Take care of the skin, and you take care of the future.
