Gastrointestinal and HPB Cancers

17 Aug 2026 Dr. Guhan Venkatakrishnan

Cancers involving the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas and biliary system often require specialised evaluation and carefully planned surgical treatment. Dr. Guhan Venkatakrishnan has extensive experience in gastrointestinal oncology and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, with his CV documenting more than 500 cancer surgeries performed using open and laparoscopic approaches. He has also led multidisciplinary tumour board discussions in HPB and GI oncology for three years. Treatment is planned according to the location and complexity of the tumour, its extent and the patient's overall condition. When appropriate, advanced laparoscopic or robotic techniques may be incorporated into surgical management to provide comprehensive, individualised cancer care.
