Assessment of adenoids is done through nasal endoscopic examination or done through nasal endoscopic examination or through X-ray. Tympanometry is the test done to understand if there is middle ear fluid because of adenoids. Sleep study may be required in selected groups of patients only.
Inflamed Adenoids are medically treated with saline nasal irrigations, and antral sprays. Non-responders might require adenoidectomy / adeno-tonsillectomy.
