Oral care in Children | Teeth Care in Kids | Oral Hygiene
Pediatric patients I would like to split not parts, one is an infant or a toddler from 0 to 2 years and about 2 to 5 years and for 5 to 9 years that surround mixed denotation. As a toddler we have to take care of the oral cavity as a baby is dirking the mothers milk or after the baby is fed . We are supposed to clean the gum pads , where the gums are cleansed by a clean cloth and make sure that every time the baby is fed the oral cavity is cleaned that will also message the gum pads and also improve their tooth eruption. From 2 to 5 years of age thee will be teething problems and the child will have tendency to bite on anything and everything and teething objects and available and there will be infections because they are biting things and there will be loose stools. Here is no direct correlation between teething and loose stools, basically the loose stools occur because of the infection as the kid is biting on the objects and after the eruption of the teeth you have to monitor how the teeth are erupting and how it changes the oral hygiene. When we do brush the teeth? As soon as the teeth are erupted there are brushes available and once the kid gets the manual dexterity to brush on their own, monitoring of tooth brushing is very important, atleast upto 6 years of age is very important. After 6 years of age they can be left on their own. Please check on their oral cavity after every meal or after every sweet meal. The sugar has a high tendency because the bacteria can cause cavities . Maintaining them or getting them to a regular dental visits is very important. And also we advise some sealants on the teeth front he molar teeth where the food particles tend to get stuck there. This will prevent the decay of the teeth about 8 to 12 years of age, they are prone to accidents and falling, the central incisors erupt and we advise the parents to keep a strict monitoring of all of this. If there is a proclination, then this is the ideal time to start orthodontic treatment .
