Can Excessive Tooth Brushing Cause Wear Of Tooth

This is seen in patients  who are very disciplined  and they are  very compulsive about certain thighs. So they have a tendency to brush a lot and brush  very frequently.  Because if excessive brushing there is a wear or loss of tooth structure, one is  attrition or  here is loss  of tooth structure, as is a faulty bite.  If your bite  or occlusion is  correct then there is a  balance in the stomatognathic structure.    When there is an imbalance then it is called  as  ATTTRITION in such kind of  wear there is certain education  and certain methods  to improve the second way is  ABFRACTION. Thee is loss of tooth near   gum line there is a niche. There is faulty tooth brushing and they go really hard, there is  stress is induced there is a tendency to clench and this can cause loss of  tooth near gums and educate  the patient.  So what causes  this  ands this is irreversible and his can be managed. This   is  called EROSION and in most case  any kind of gastric irritation and the inner  surface of  the tooth is lost and  it can be too much  consumption of aerated  drinks and causes loss of tooth structure. Then there is  ABRASION , where there is  nail biting, needle  biting  and this causes  distinct  loss  of tooth structure.  Los of tooth is   irreversible process and  we   have  to  treat  it  and so  we   have tooth colored  materials and we can restore or give back the oral health.
