Role of CBCT scans in Dental Implant Treatment

Implant is   screw which is placed  inside  the  missing area into the bone and we are  going to place  a  prosthetic  portion into  this  drilled implant  screw, the titanium screw, it  require a  lot of  investigations to  what kind of  implant to place, what are the measurement  of the implant  and that is why we all mandatorily   we advise  the  patient to undergo Cone beam Computerized  Scan  or  a simple  CBCT Scan. When we  say  a  CBT Scan, it is going to give us  3  dimensional    view of  the  associated  anatomical structures  of the missing  area and  also the important  nerves and tissue and  the blood vessels  on the surface. As  you can  see in this picture,  a patient with a missing  front teeth and when we shoot a CBCT,  you can see the position of the  never  bundle and the association with the bone   we  want to drill the implant. So it becomes  very important  for us  to visualize  before  we place an  implant in the  missing  area and similarly  there is a scan of the upper  jaw  or the maxilla and is maxillary  in the lower  jaw, we do a scan in order to see the mandibular  nerve approximity   to the  area  of the missing tooth in order to drill these titanium implants.
