Is it safe to place my newborn to sleep on their side or front?

No. Place your newborn on their back for every sleep - side and front positions increase SIDS risk. Use a firm, flat sleep surface without soft bedding, pillows, or loose items. Back sleeping has dramatically reduced sudden infant death rates worldwide.
