For more than two decades, dentistry has been at the heart of my professional journey. As a Prosthodontist and Implantologist with 27 years of experience, I have had the privilege of helping patients who come to me with very different concerns. Some have lost a single tooth, while others require extensive rehabilitation after years of dental problems. What connects these patients is their desire to eat comfortably, smile confidently, and feel like themselves again. At Dental Conceptz, my approach is built around understanding each person's unique needs and creating a treatment plan that balances function, aesthetics, comfort, and long-term oral health. As a Prosthodontist and Implantologist, I believe that the best outcomes come from careful planning, honest communication, and respect for each patient's individual expectations.
My Journey in Prosthodontics and Implantology
My foundation in dentistry began with BDS, followed by advanced specialist training with an MDS in Prosthodontics and Implantology from RGUHS, Bengaluru. Prosthodontics attracted me because it combines science, precision, aesthetics, and a deep understanding of how teeth function together. Over the years, my clinical interests increasingly expanded into advanced implant dentistry. Replacing teeth is not simply about filling an empty space. Successful rehabilitation requires consideration of bone, gums, bite, facial aesthetics, and the patient's expectations.
Learning Beyond Borders
I have always believed that continuing education is essential in a rapidly evolving field such as implant dentistry. My professional journey has included fellowship and advanced training experiences associated with organisations and experts across the USA, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Poland, and Brazil. I hold a Fellowship from ICOI (USA) and ISOI (India), and a Diplomate credential from the World Congress of Oral Implantology (Japan).
Advanced Implant and Tissue Management
My training has included the ALL-ON-4 surgical protocol and immediate function concepts, GBR and sinus augmentation, and advanced hard and soft tissue management. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of complex implant cases, particularly situations where careful management of the supporting bone and gum tissues is important for achieving functional and aesthetic outcomes.
Looking Beyond Teeth
My professional interests also extend to Orofacial Pain and Sleep Medicine. I pursued fellowship training in Orofacial Pain and Sleep Medicine through Roseman University in Utah, USA, along with further education in sleep medicine. Persistent jaw or facial discomfort can sometimes be complex, and patients may require careful assessment to understand whether dental, muscular, joint-related, or other factors are contributing to their symptoms. This additional dimension of my training allows me to approach patients with jaw pain, facial pain, or sleep-related dental concerns with a broader clinical perspective.
My Philosophy of Patient Care
I believe sophisticated technology and advanced techniques are most valuable when they are combined with thoughtful, individualised care. Every patient's situation is different. My role is to understand the problem, explain realistic treatment possibilities, and help the patient make an informed decision. After 27 years in dentistry, my motivation remains simple: to help patients regain comfortable function and confidence through carefully planned dental care.
