SABR, also called SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy), is a highly precise form of radiation therapy that delivers large ablative doses to a specific tumour site over a small number of sessions, typically three to five, with pinpoint accuracy. Unlike conventional radiotherapy spread over many weeks, SABR targets the tumour while minimising exposure to surrounding tissue, making it a powerful non-surgical option for treating isolated metastases in the lung, liver, bone, or lymph nodes.
